Start Now – Pitch Night Recap
As time passes and businesses continue to grow, we at Now often find ourselves reminiscing about the very first Start Now Pitch night, proudly powered by Launch Vic.
It was a great night with 45 of you coming down to support your peers Oss, Nextround and Feex, who competed in the first-ever IRL pitch night for Now. And boy, did it not disappoint. For those of you who couldn’t make it (it’s ok, we forgive you!), here’s a short recap!
We started things out with Thanh from Oss blowing us away with his depth of knowledge around data protection and privacy and intriguing us with the opportunities it presents as individuals. Plus he brought the vibe with his fantastic team.
Then we all cracked up with Karim from Feex sharing his founder story, including holes in walls and naughty kids, which lead to the brilliant idea of on-demand handyman services for your home at a click of a record button.
Adam from Nextround did his co-founder Gracie proud by pitching us all the benefits of employee recognition through their easy to use and easier to implement App that is sure to be a hit in any workplace.
This gave the judges, Judy Anderson (CEO Startup Vic), Louis Zetlin (Luna) and Ashini de Alwis (Earthli), a lot to consider when picking a winner for the evening…
After a very long 10minute deliberation session between the judges, they proudly announced Nextround the winners of the first-ever Start Now Pitch event. Congrats team!
