A Guide to Stock Images
When launching a new business there will come a time that you will need top-quality photography. It might be for print media, your new website or even for a pitch deck.
We have put together a list of our favourite image libraries that all operate under the creative commons license. This means you can use all images for free for both personal and commercial projects.
Unsplash
unsplash Is a user-submitted platform that has a huge collection of royalty-free images. Simply use the search bar to filter results to the themes you are looking for. A top tip from us is to scroll beyond the first 2 pages to ensure you don’t use the same images as a lot of other businesses as Unsplash is an extremely popular site.
Pexels
Pexels is just like Unsplash, just with video too! A cool feature on Pexels is the ability to instantly pay the creators of the content you choose via PayPal directly. It’s always nice to say thanks for creators hard work and skills…
Nappy.co
nappy is a beautifully designed website of stock images specifically designed to help find stock images of black and brown people. This is immensely important for all business striving for diversity (as we all should be) as often finding images that are diverse and representative can be tricky
Photo Creator
Photo Creator from Icon 8 is a super powerful tool that you can use to combine images for the perfect scene. This is helpful for cutting out backgrounds on team headshots without having to use photoshop. Bloody Amazing!
